About this build
StudySpace is a learning platform for Indian school, entrance and government-exam preparation:
live and recorded classes organised into batches, exam-pattern tests with All-India rank feedback,
and a revision space that keeps your notes and bookmarks together.
Demonstration build. Batches, faculty, ratings and results shown in this site are
sample data. Nothing here is a real purchase and no payment is collected.
What the platform does not do
It does not run a payment gateway or store card details. Paid batches unlock with an access code.
It does not host or reproduce another institute's course material, recordings or question papers.
It does not record your screen, microphone or camera during a test.
Terms of use
By creating an account you agree to the following.
Your account
Keep your password private and tell us promptly if you think it has been compromised.
One account per person. Sharing an account, or an access code, is not permitted.
You are responsible for activity performed with your credentials.
Using the material
Class recordings, notes, question papers and solutions are licensed for your personal study only.
Re-uploading, re-selling or publicly streaming the material is not permitted.
Notes and bookmarks you write remain yours; you grant us only the storage rights needed to show them back to you.
Tests and results
Marks are provisional until an attempt is submitted, and may be revised if a question is withdrawn.
Attempts flagged for unusual behaviour may be reviewed before a rank is published.
Ranks and percentiles are computed against the cohort that attempted the same paper.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using the service at any time and ask for your account to be deleted. We may suspend an
account that breaches these terms, after notifying you, except where the breach puts other students'
data or the service itself at risk.
Privacy & your data
We process personal data as a data fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023
(DPDP Act) and the DPDP Rules, 2025. The sections below describe what we collect and why.

What we do not do
No behavioural advertising, profiling for ads, or sale of personal data.
No third-party analytics or ad pixels on lesson, test or dashboard pages.
No cross-site tracking. Session tokens are stored only on your device.
Your rights
You can access, correct, or ask us to erase your data, and you can withdraw consent at any time.
Requests are answered within 30 days. Write to
privacy@studyspace.example and we will confirm
what we hold and what we did with it.
Where data is stored
Account and progress records live in a managed PostgreSQL database; lesson media is served from an
object store over short-lived signed URLs. Both are access-controlled and encrypted in transit.
Media URLs expire, so a shared link stops working after a short window.
Breach notification
If a personal-data breach affects you, we notify the Data Protection Board of India and every affected
user without undue delay, describing what happened, what we have done, and what you should do.
Students under 18
Many of our students are school learners. Under the DPDP Act a person under 18 is a child, and
processing their data requires verifiable parental consent.
Accounts for learners under 18 are created with a parent or guardian's verifiable consent.
We do not track, behaviourally monitor, or target advertising at children.
We do not process a child's data in a way that is likely to cause a detrimental effect on their well-being.
A parent or guardian can review, correct or delete a child's data by writing to us.
If you believe a child's account was created without valid consent, contact us and we will suspend it
while we check.
Access codes & refunds
How unlocking works
Your institute issues a 12-character access code for a specific batch.
Open the batch page and choose I have an access code.
Enter the code. The batch is added to your account immediately — there is no checkout step.
If a code does not work
Codes are case-insensitive; check for characters that look alike (0/O, 1/I).
Each code unlocks one batch for one account and cannot be reused.
If a code is rejected after you have paid your institute, contact the institute that issued it.
Refunds
Because unlocking happens through an access code, refunds are handled by the institute that issued the
code. StudySpace does not collect payments and therefore does not process refunds directly.
Accessibility
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA across the site, including the exam interface, which is the part
students use under the most time pressure.
Every interactive control is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus ring.
Targets are at least 24×24 CSS pixels, with extra spacing on the question palette.
Colour is never the only way to read state: answered, marked and current questions also carry text or icon cues.
Text scales to 200% without loss of content or function, and layouts reflow at 320 px.
Motion respects prefers-reduced-motion.
Timers can be paused in practice mode; in a scored test the timer is part of the assessment.
